In this animation, we’re seeing red blood cells and antibodies traveling through an artery in the body. This shot focuses on the antibody, as it is the key character we’re attempting to explain to the audience. Once the hero antibody enters the frame, it pauses and a label appears to provide the viewer with additional information.

Technically speaking, this shot uses a combination of Cinema 4D’s Mograph animation tools for the blood cells and antibodies flowing in the background, as well as traditional keyframed animation for the hero antibody. Visualizing complex medical concepts in 3D requires combining multiple animation techniques to create imagery that clearly communicates the intended message. This is the key to translating complex scientific concepts into visuals that make it easier for a general audience to understand.
